BOSS BABY!!

‘Prompting’ seems to be the new buzz word in AI. Let us give that a try.

‘Imagine a 14 year old facing his first ball in a very demanding cricket league like IPL. He is facing a capped India bowler. What would his response be?’

Well, what AI might not be able to guess is that the first ball from Shardul Thakur or Mohammed Siraj was sent packing into the stands. Even GOAT Bumrah was not spared. Such is the might of this young kid, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, that even the Aussie powerhouses Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc numbers were shredded.

Highlights

The last 2 IPL innings where he was close to scoring the fastest IPL century 97(29 balls) against SRH and a very placid 95(47 balls) in today’s game, marks his maturity and game awareness.

72 sixes coming off his bat in a single IPL season is the best among all cricketers with an unimaginable 8 sixes in the first 16 balls in the last match against SRH. After Gayle and Jayasurya of the old times, no single player has single handedly and consistently turned the match in his team’s favor.

His 175 (80 balls) in the U19 finals against a strong England bowling line-up was as good as his other fantastic contribution of 144 (42 balls) against UAE in the Asia Cup.

As I watched an interview from his old coach, I understood how much hard work and effort this young lad has put in to achieve such an impressive status in such a short time. Modelling himself on the high backlift and bat swing like Brian Lara, the ‘Boss Baby’ hits nearly all the bowlers out of the park.

So with 1000 IPL runs in just 2 seasons, we prepare ourselves to see a more unleashed version of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Hope he spreads joy and fun with his batting to all the viewers all around the world. Let us wish him the best and hope to see more fireworks in future from this once-in-a-generation talent.
